Join the movement to stop domestic violence where it starts

At the Center for Advancing Domestic Peace, we have always believed that ensuring the safety of victims and their children must be our number one priority in addressing domestic violence. And, given the devastating impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on those living with an abusive partner or family member, we have seen how critically important this is.

However, in order for us to find a lasting solution to one of the most serious societal problems we face, we must also help those who have done the harm become accountable for their actions and learn the skills for building healthy relationships.

Safe Home Heroes is a campaign focused on mobilizing the people power and resources needed to make this a higher priority. It’s about building a grassroots movement of men and women committed to:

· Bravely challenging the gender beliefs and systemic inequalities that lead to intimate partner violence and sparking conversations about these issues in their own homes and communities;

· Modeling what it means to have healthy relationships, grounded in equal partnership and mutual respect;

· Contributing their time and money to ensure that those ready to end their abuse can receive the services and support they need; and,

· Becoming champions of change by spreading the word and encouraging others to get involved.
